Frequently Asked Questions about HyperCD

What is a hypercd? In general terms, the word "hypercd" comes from the word hyperlink. While a hyperlink is text (or an image) that links to files either on your computer or on the internet, a hypercd is a physical product (CD/DVD and USB drive) that connects to the internet.

What is HyperCD Technology? HyperCD is also a patented technology. This technology uses a software application to split an MPEG file into 2 unequal pieces. Once split, the MPEG video can only be reassembled via an HTML embed-tag located in the same internet directory as the smaller piece of the MPEG. A proprietary software plug-in is also required (which would be installed on the fly into the users default browser), as well as, a CD that contains the larger of the 2 unequal pieces.
